About the Creator

Michele Pettinger

Hi, I’m Michele Pettinger—founder of P3Running and author of The Young Runner’s Guide to Nutrition. I’m a lifelong runner, RRCA-certified running coach, and nutrition coach, and I raised my daughter in sport, from club soccer to track and cross country. I created this curriculum because I’m passionate about supporting the entire youth running community—athletes, coaches, and parents—by providing a practical, interactive tool for delivering nutrition education. Aligned with the principles in my book, it’s designed to give young athletes a strong foundation for fueling their bodies for success now and into adulthood. Because fueling well isn’t just about performance—it’s about building confidence and a healthy relationship with food for life.
